About Marcus Gooda
Marcus is an established and acclaimed professional musician, who has been recording and performing for the last 10 years. He is proficient on both the Guitar and Bass Guitar and his adaptability to fit many roles has earned him great reverence in the live and studio circuit.
During this time, Marcus has performed and recorded alongside Major Label and Independent Label artists as a session musician, songwriter and musical director, and shared the stage and events with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Lady Antebellum, Katy Sutherland and The Foundations. Working with esteemed cliental has seen him perform at the O2 arena, Ronnie Scott’s and the London Jazz Café, as well as completing numerous UK and International tours.
Marcus enjoys teaching all styles of music and abilities from Pop to Jazz, Blues to Metal, beginners to advanced, whilst focusing on the needs and desires of the student. Whilst lessons are tailored to be engaging and approachable to all ability levels, rigorous studying has enabled Marcus to specialise in many extended techniques such as two-handed tapping, harmonics and slap bass, which are technically demanding, yet definitive ear catchers should you wish to seek to add that extra spice into your playing.
Currently Marcus performs in recent Universal Music signees ‘Employed to Serve’ and the Math Rock outfit ‘The Yacht Club’. Marcus also holds a BMus (Hons) in Popular Music Performance and an Enhanced DBS Clearance.
