About Jack Kendrew
I have been a guitarist for the past sixteen years and performing with bands and artists of multiple genres both on stage and in the studio.
I was lucky enough to start playing regular shows at the age of fourteen. Being a founding member or a folk/rock band, we toured extensively throughout the UK playing prestigious venues such as KOKO, Bristol Academy supporting The Subways and performed numerous sets at Glastonbury Festival. I then went on to study guitar at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford where I completed my degree with First Class Honours. It was here where I met my current band The Greasy Slicks who have been touring all over the globe having just concluded our European Tour at Bestival as well as releasing our first self titled LP.
For a number of years I have been involved with the CLIC Sargent charity as a mentor for their music programme. Together with other musicians we teach young people in workshops and individual sessions to write, record, and perform the music that they love the most.
Currently I reside in Oxford where I give private guitar tuition in the form of home visits or from my house.
