Guitar Teacher Glaucon Siqueira

Glaucon was born in Itabira, Minas Gerais in Brazil. An extrememly talented guitarist, composer and producer. He started playing at age 13 and influences include virtuoso players such as Joe Satriani, Steve Vai and John Petrucci. He is also highly influenced by music from his native Brazil and has studied with well known multi-instrumentalist and composer Hermeto Pascoal. in 2011 Glaucon was one of the winners of the “Jovem Instrumentista BDMG” contest. That year was a time of study and learning and he met and played with some of the greatest Jazz artists from his home state of Minas Gerais. In 2016 Glaucon released his debut album ‘Encontro dos Tempos’, The album encompasses rock, Brazilian music, jazz to orchestral arrangements with great harmonies and melodies and of course guitar virtuosity. Glaucon worked with some world class musicians on the album including the award-winning Swedish singer Göran Edman, notable for his work with many bands and artists, especially with the guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen. The German drummer Marco Minnemann who’s credits include Joe Satriani and Steven Wilson. World renowned Bassist Stu Hamm who has featured on many of Joe Satriani and Steve Vai’s most well know and classic songs contributed to the album too, besides the Keyboardist Adam Holzman who played keyboards with Miles Davis and Steven Wilson contributed to the album too.” Glaucon is our first teacher from outside the UK and is available for Skype lessons which we thoroughly recommend.
