Texas Blues Shuffle – Lick Of The Week #13

by | August 18, 2019

This week Tim Daley shows us a quick Texas Blues lick/riff combo in the style of Stevie Ray Vaughan. This one uses the classic open position E minor Pentatonic that many guitar players will be familiar with. If you’re new to pentatonic scales you can learn all about them from Level 1 of our syllabus and onwards. Just head over to My Syllabus section of your account or become a member via our online shop. This week’s lick also features a fun shuffle rhythm and passing chords that Texas Blues is well known for. Time to dust off the old Strat and get into SRV mode!!

Lick of The Week is a series breaking down licks/riffs by some of the best guitar tutors in the U.K. You can subscribe to our online syllabus to become a member and access the interactive tab for this lesson. Our interactive tabs allow you to slow down and loop sections of the video. They are a great new way to learn the guitar as they display both video and tab at the same time.
