Dis-Chord (Progressive Metal) – Lick Of The Week #4

by | March 16, 2019

This week, our Leeds tutor David Freeman walks you through a ‘Progressive Metal’ riff that uses C# Phrygian Dominant mode. This is a complicated riff with its syncopation and odd timings, and it has enough dissonance to give you nightmares! Enjoy!

Lick of The Week is a weekly series breaking down licks/riffs by some of the best tutors in the U.K.
